Welcome to Life of Style!

Hi! Welcome to LOS and thank you so so much for visiting! I wanted this first post to be an introduction of sorts, but every person reading this today already knows me (shout out to all of my supportive family and friends!) Instead of an “About Me”, I wanted to talk about how I got here and my inspiration and future ambitions for the site.

The idea for this blog started almost exactly 6 years ago… there’s no other explanation for the delay/ timeline except procrastination! I’ve owned the URL, had the name, and was paying to host the site, but I thought I’d be able to self teach myself how to do the site design. I didn’t want to put something out there that didn’t feel ready so I waited, and waited! Last fall I decided to pay someone to design the site, and it’s the best investment I’ve made in this process. I finally feel like it’s something I’m ready to share, and can’t wait to start this journey!

About 6 years ago was when I first started following blogger accounts on Instagram, and I was, and still am, constantly inspired by this group of women. Using a tool called LikeToKnowIt I was able to shop these bloggers’ photos by simply liking them on Instagram. I saw a change happening with the way people shopped, and I recognized there was potential and opportunity… through the years I’ve watched women build their own businesses, raise families, inspire others, create communities among their followers, and more! I scroll my Instagram feed like I used to flip through a magazine and you can’t help but feel inspired when you fill it with these things.

That brings me to my future ambitions for the site and it comes down to one thing, which is to inspire at least one person the way others have inspired me… I named the site “Life of Style” as a nod to the Lifestyle content I’ll be sharing, including lots of baby (#momlife!), fashion + beauty, food, travel, and the list goes on! If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate you taking the time to read and hope you come back again and again, and that this site inspires you in some way!
