Hi babes! With so many kiddos unexpectedly home from school and/or daycare for the foreseeable future, I thought others, like myself, may need some daytime meal inspiration. I know for a lot of us, schools and daycares provide at least one meal and snacks during the week, so with everyone at home I can say we’re low on ideas for keeping meals fun and interesting, and nutrient-balanced!
Below I’m sharing one week’s worth of lunch ideas. I created this based on a variety of meals we’ve eaten over the last month, so this is just a sampling of what I might make over the course of a week. For lunch I typically like to have a protein, carb/starch, and a veggie and/or fruit. I shared a couple product snaps above, I’m always reaching for the Applegate and Dr. Praeger’s items because they’re pre-made/frozen (aka quick and easy to prep) and I like the ingredient lists.
If you have ideas for meals and/or snacking for the kiddos, leave them below in the comments to share with the other readers. We could all use some inspiration these days! I feel like people are shopping much less given uncertain financial circumstances, but one place we can stay creative is in the kitchen!
